Day 1 Arrival Kuala Lumpur - Melaka
Arrive in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Proceed by overland transfer to Melaka. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival hotel, check-in and rest of the day is at leisure. Melaka is a historical city along the Straits of Melaka, rich with heritage buildings, ancient landmarks and colonial structures. The churches, squares and fortifications demonstrate the early stages of a history originating in the 15th-century Malay sultanate and the Portuguese and Dutch periods beginning in the early 16th century. After walking through the colonial past, cross the bridge to Jonker Street, the current Chinatown, for Nyonya delights and the best chicken rice balls in Malaysia.
Day 2 Melaka
After Breakfast our bicycle tour will give you an impression of the real Melaka. Cycling through the outskirt village, you will discover the way of life of the local people in Melaka. Get off the tourist trail, bicycle into real Melaka neighborhoods, and you'll find hospitality like you've never seen. This trip is recommended for those, who want to get a new experience to visit Melaka by riding bicycle. We will provide you with the mountain bikes. We will pick you up from the hotel. We will guide you through the trails. We will supply you with the mineral water for when you get thirsty. All you will need to do is to ride and enjoy the experience. And when it is all over, we will send you back to your hotel. Please note that our bicycle tour will not cover the city centre; the tour will be in the outskirts of Melaka where you will get to see the local kampungs and plantations.
Dag 3 Melaka - Kuala Lumpur
Breakfast at Melaka Hotel. After a leisurely breakfast, our driver will meet you at the hotel lobby for your transfer to Kuala Lumpur, the metropolitan capital city of Malaysia. Check-in to your Kuala Lumpur hotel upon arrival and the rest of the day is free at your leisure to explore Kuala Lumpur. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Lumpur is a vibrant metropolis, striking for its remarkable cultural diversity. Ethnic Malays, Chinese prospectors, Indian migrants and British colonials all helped carve the city out of the virgin jungle, and each group has left its indelible mark on the capital. Around the iconic Twin Towers you can spend hours in one of the numerous air-conditioned shopping malls of the Golden Triangle, or visit the colourful Chinatown, the hawker stalls at Jalan Alor, and discover the Indian culture near Brickfields or Masjid Jamek.
Day 4 Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast, spend the rest of the day free at leisure to explore Malaysia's capital at your own pace.
Day 5 Kuala Lumpur - Taman Negara
Breakfast and check-out from your Kuala Lumpur hotel. Today, you journey into the heart of Malaysia's National Park - Taman Negara. We have arranged a spot on a shared transfer to Kuala Tahan jetty. Please register 30 minutes before boarding. The journey will be approximately 3-4 hours. The first leg of the journey will be along expressways, passing by secondary forests and small towns. Once off the expressways, you will notice the jungle becoming wilder and lusher. The roads here are mainly 2-lane highways. Upon arrival at the Kuala Tahan jetty, you will then board the boat across to the resort (which operated by local people and you need to pay locally-approx. MYR5-MYR10 per pax per way). At 20:30hrs, meet your guide at the meeting point. Your first adventure will be a night jungle walk in the 130 million year old tropical rainforest. You will be on a look-out for nocturnal wildlife and insects amidst the chorus of the rainforest. Do note, however, that sighting wildlife in the tropical forest is not guaranteed.
Day 6 Taman Negara
In the morning, meet your guide, take a wooden longboat to the base of Teresek Hill and start a jungle walk up to the peak. This walk takes us further into the national park. The guide will highlight to you the rich flora found en-route. At the top of Teresek Hill, a panoramic view of the tropical rainforest awaits. On a clear day, you can see Mount Tahan, the highest peak in Peninsular Malaysia. Start the descend, and experience the canopy walkway, built 40 meters above the ground. You will have a different perspective of the rainforest. By noon, boat back to the Resort.
Day 7 Taman Negara - Cameron Highlands
Breakfast at hotel. Check out and cross the river by water taxi to the meeting point to meet the driver for your next destination – Cameron Highlands. The drive will be approximately 4.5 to 5.5 hours (260 to 350 kilometers, depending on route), depending on traffic and stops along the way, and mostly along paved 2-lane roads. The road is also quite winding/ curvy near Cameron Highlands. The Cameron Highlands is an extensive hill station with an altitude of 1300 to 1800 meters. The cool air has offered a welcome respite from the tropical heat since the colonial days. While enjoying the fresh temperature and the beauty of the green hills you can visit the tea plantations, butterfly farms, and other local agriculture, trek down one of the jungle trails, or discover the evocative left overs of the British colonial past.
Day 8 Cameron Highlands
Hop into our Land Rover cruising along the picturesque rolling tea garden toward 6,666 feet above sea level, The Gunung Brinchang. Listen to our guides ‘tea talks’ while enjoying breathtaking view of the tea garden. On clear days the drive up to the highest mountain accessible by road in South East Asia, one will be blessed with the magnificent view of the surrounding area. An interpretive walk with our nature guides into the Mossy forest will reveal some of the exotic floras on earth, like the Pitcher plant, Orchids, Primitive Ferns, Spices and Medicinal Plants. A short drive down from the mountain will bring you to the Sungei Palas ‘BOH’ Tea Factory. A factory tour will be conducted before you may appreciate the many varieties of tea offered at the Tea Shop.
Day 9 Cameron Highlands - Penang
Your journey now takes you onwards to the island of Penang: The Pearl of the Orient. The journey to Penang/Georgetown is approx. 3.5 hrs. (km 260). Kindly reach the bus terminal located at Tanah Rata Town, 30minutes prior bus departure. Arrive in Penang; make your own way to your stay. Overnight in Penang. Penang is an island near the Straits of Melaka which has developed over 500 years of trading and cultural exchanges between East and West. The historic capital of George Town represents the British era from the end of the 18th century. Wander through the heritage backstreets to discover the street art, temples, mosques, and above all the delicious Indian and Chinese food where Penang is known for. Out of the town you will find the impressive Kok Lok Si Temple, and the jungle forest at the smallest National Park in Malaysia. The beautiful beach locations give you an opportunity either to relax and unwind, or to enjoy all kinds of water sports.
Day 10 Penang
After Breakfast, gather to meeting/starting point for your daily activity. Too big to explore on foot; to special to explore from a car... the bicycle (or trishaw) is the perfect way to discover Penang's Heritage City of George Town. The excursion starting point is at the Tanjung City Marina (beside the Jetty Bus Terminal) where you will meet your guide for the day. From here, you will move on to explore the hidden gems of George Town from the Clan Jetty (the dragon boat races are often held even to this day), Cheah Kongsi, Hock Teik Cheng Sin Temple (with stories of Penang's secret societies), the Malay Mosque of Lebuh Acheh, learn the traditional method of making joss sticks used in temples. You haven't experienced Penang until you've tried the food. (Really! Ask any Malaysian what is the first thing they think about when they think of Penang... the first answer is usually 'FOOD!'). Along the way, you there will be several stops to try the local foods. Taste some of Penang's Traditional Indian-Muslim Hawker food staff for breakfast. For an early lunch, enjoy some Chinese fried noodles (Char Koay Teow) or Chicken Rice from a Chinese Hawker stall. Your final stop will be back at the Tanjung City Marina.
Day 11 Penang - Langkawi
This morning, we have arranged the ferry to Langkawi. At Scheduled time, meet the driver at the lobby for your transfer to the Swettenham jetty. At the jetty, locate the counter for Blue Water Express and register before boarding. The ferry to Langkawi is about 2-3 hours in duration (timing will vary depending on sea and weather conditions). Once at Langkawi’s Kuah Jetty, our driver will be there to meet you at the arrival hall and drive to your resort.
Day 12 Langkawi
Langkawi Geopark, said to be 550 million years old, is named so due to its geological heritage and significance. Within the Geopark is the Kilim river, over which you will be spending a quiet and peaceful day kayaking. Glide through Langkawi's mangrove forests while enjoying a real up-close and personal experience with the nature and ecology of the river. Explore small river channels where other 'mass tourist boats' can't go and, if lucky, you may also spot a variety of Langkawi's wildlife, including monkeys, snakes, eagles, kits, kingfishers, otters, and monitor lizards. Along the way, stop by the bat cave as well as an eagle area (note: these eagles are wild and should not be fed). Visit a fish farm and floating restaurant for a delicious local lunch with fruits and soft drink or mineral water before heading back.
Day 13 Langkawi
Breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure. Overnight in Langkawi.
Day 14 Langkawi Departure
